» Less fireworks this year - for you too?

As talked about by at least norwegian press and some weblogs, there is an initiative going on to give the money you planned to use on fireworks this year to support the victims of the tsunami that hit south Asia last week – or give the same amount that you actually use on fireworks.

If everyone did that, a lot of much needed money could be sent to the people who really needs it. Please consider it, and tell your wife/husband/parents about it.

Some links to use to donate to online:
Amazon has a campaign for the american Red Cross
Gi direkte til Norges Røde Kors

..or just go to the website of your preferred charity and see how you can donate directly to them.

As I said: Please consider it. They need help NOW. There will be fireworks again next year.

Update: Andreas chimes in with his thoughts – as I said in the comments over there: I suppose he has a point.

Comments?

  3. Hehe yeah I’ve been thinking about that, too.. and the companies in question are pretty pissed about it, it seems, hehe.. ah well. They’ll make enough money again next year.
